His responsibilities included creation, development and oversight of Verizon’s Military Strategic Talent Acquisition, Veteran Affairs and program development. In leading the Veterans employment initiative, Guzman is responsible for managing public- and private-sector partnerships to help veterans and their families transition from military service to the private sector. The program’s objective is to create an environment in which thousands of military veterans can find meaningful employment in their local communities and across the United States. One of the key areas under his direction is the strategic implementation of talent acquisitions of individuals with top secret clearances for Verizon’s Federal Network Systems.
Before joining Verizon, Guzman lead the redesign and recruitment efforts for one of the largest not for profit organizations in the world for almost 10 years. Prior to this he owned and operated his own business in Security and IT recruitment. In addition to his extensive recruitment experience he has also assisted multiple start- up businesses in developing specific strategic recruitment and onboarding programs for various industries.
Guzman is a graduate of City University of New York, Baruch College and resides in New Jersey with his wife and three sons.
