Evan is a nationally recognized leader with over two decades of experience in veteran hiring, strategic talent acquisition, corporate development, employment marketing & branding. As a Chief Veteran Advocate, Evan is highly sought-after by major companies, news media, and veteran service organizations to share leading practices on military hiring, employer branding, strategic partnerships, social media, business development and unique high-profile projects.
Evan is the founder of Verizon’s Military Hiring & Engagement program. In this role he established, developed, and implemented an award winning and nationally recognized military engagement initiative that has been ranked #1 for multiple consecutive years by Best for Vets, GI Jobs & Military Spouse magazine. In addition, Verizon was also awarded the Secretary of Defense – Freedom Award.
For his individual efforts, Evan is the recipient of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, Hiring Our Heroes – Colonel Michael Endres Award and has been recognized by former President George W. Bush & former First Lady Michelle Obama, the White House-Joining Forces, Department of Defense, and many other reputable veteran service organizations.
Evan shares his veteran and military spouse hiring experience through online training that is currently used by PsychArmor and SHRM Foundation – Veterans Work Here certificate.
Currently, Evan started a consultancy business – The MiLBRAND PROJECT that exists to help companies build their own customized military hiring programs and advising Veteran tech-startups that seek to support the military-connected community such as Veterati and AliroVets.
